Get to know Jim.

What do you love about working in real estate?

I love the personal connection and the challenge to find my clients the home that is the “one” for them. It’s not always easy, but it’s worth the effort. I compare it to dating. There are lot of people out there, but there is only one soul mate. The same can be said for searching for a home. There are a lot of houses out there, but they may not be the “one” for the client I am working with at that time. It doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the house, it just isn’t the right match for that client. I aim to find that something special that makes a house a home for them.

What makes working at Lisa Wolschina & Associates different in your mind? What benefits do the buyers and sellers get?

Working with Lisa over the past 6 years has been such a pleasure. She is the most honest, caring, down to earth and genuine person you will ever meet. Lisa grew up in Haddonfield and was a high school teacher before transitioning into real estate. Her wealth of knowledge and love of Haddonfield is something she is eager to share with the entire team, which in turn exudes excitement and pride in our hometown. Another great asset is the depth of our team.

We have 10 team members who are connected to the town and always willing to jump in and help if help is needed. I hate to refer to them as team members because we truly consider each other family. There is always someone available. The needs of our buyers and sellers are our number one priority! We like to make them feel like family too.

Tell us a little about you personally. Background? Where did you grow up? Live? Have kids? Interests?

I grew up in Cinnaminson and graduated High school in 1979. My wife Eileen and I have been married for 27 years. We have 4 amazing children Dan, Trish, Ally and Christian ranging in age from 41-19. We also have 3 beautiful grandchildren, Danny, Sloane, and Parker, and last, but not least, my Golden Doodle Bailey.

Something most people don’t know about me is that renovating is my golf. Any kind of renovating. I love to take those diamonds in the rough and make them shine. One of my first jobs was constructing new homes for Bob Danley Builders in Moorestown. From there I joined my grandfather’s business, Cherry Hill Mercedes, as an autobody technician restoring wrecks to perfection. I worked with him for 20 years before moving onto my current passion, real estate. The knowledge I absorbed from these careers has served me well throughout the years.

Since I started selling real estate, I have owned and renovated 9 homes and prior to that, restored countless cars. No, I am not a flipper, this hobby gives me great pleasure and satisfaction to see the transformation from start to finish. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my finished masterpieces.

My newest endeavor is ice hockey. I LOVE hockey! I enjoy tennis, softball, jet skiing, and just about any sport, but ice hockey is my #1 go to. I am currently on 2 men’s leagues and the captain of 1. During the off season, I enjoy going to the shore with my family and traveling whenever possible.
